My Artist Trading Cards Photo Archives
I use many different techniques and mediums when creating my cards. First and foremost, I believe in the power of recycling. You will see evidence of that in my cards with the use of magazine cutouts, bits of thread, etc. I find myself drawn primarily to the art of collage, however, you will also find me painting, drawing and even stamping on my cards! I absolutely LOVE glitter and sometimes have to force myself not to use it! I use stickers, scrapbook paper, my computer (probably the most used tool!), paints, coloured pencils, ink, etc. I greatly appreciate scherenschnitter artists (tiny paper cutters) and try to use some of their techniques as well. In my world of creating, anything is fair game! I've even used leaves from my yard! I am currently working on bringing the art of Artist Trading Cards to southern Illinois by teaching classes and my daughter's Girl Scouts friends how to make and swap cards.
